Dairy Free Orange Sherbet

Homemade dairy free orange sherbet is a creamy and light dessert. It's a great option for your next garden party as it's dairy free, vegan, and on the keto diet so all your guests can enjoy it! 

 Serves: 6 

Ingredients

4 navel oranges

Juice of half a lemon (1 - 2 tbsp)

1 can of coconut milk

1/4 cup orange juice

1 tsp orange zest

1/4 tsp salt

Tools

Baking tray

Foil or parchment paper

Knife

Can opener

1/4 cup measure

1 teaspoon measure

1/4 teaspoon measure

Food processor or blender

Metal pan or baking dish

Spoon

Instructions

  • Peel the oranges. Split them into sections and freeze them on a tray lined with foil or parchment paper. 
  • Set up your food processor with cutting blades or blender. 
  • Zest your orange then juice it if using fresh zest and juice. 
  • Add all ingredients, including frozen orange slices, to food processor or blender and puree.
  • Pour sherbet into metal pan or baking dish and freeze for 4 hours. Take out and stir once an hour.


For extra flare, serve garnished with a fresh orange slice or spiraled orange peel.  Enjoy!
